I’ve been a pastor for many years, and have attended several funerals. But I’ve never seen a moving van following the hearse. Think about the priorities and the interests in your life. How much time is spent acquiring and hoarding things you simply can’t take with you? The Bible states that we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take any stuff out of it either. It’s good to focus on the things that last, like God and building eternal treasure. Stuff is nice, but does it make us feel closer to God, or does it lead our attention away from God?
