Ever hid from God? It's not as strange of a question as you might think. We have all did things that after we did them we questioned why we did that. Or got up next morning hoping no one seen what we did the night before. And basically hoping God didn't take notes. When Adam and Eve sinned they realized they had went against what God had told them. What they could do and what not to do. It is no different than what God's word tells us today. They had a personal relationship with God, walking with Him daily. But after their sin, God put them out of His presents to a life that was much harder. They still worshipped Him, but life became more difficult. Ought to make a person think, huh?
