📖 Today's Word:
1 Kings 2:2-3 I am about to go the way of all the earth,” he said. “So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires: Walk in obedience to him, and keep his decrees and commands, his laws and regulations, as written in the Law of Moses. Do this so that you may prosper in all you do and wherever you go.

When David said, “act like a man,” he was challenging his young son, Solomon, to be strong for the complex decisions that lay ahead of him as king by following the Lord in everything. David’s advise echoes through the hallways of time and speaks to every person today. He was saying, in essence, that if we keep the Word of God, our lives will prosper. There’s an unhealthy emphasis today on prosperity in the material sense. The most important goals to fulfill in life are not financial. Real prosperity means fulfillment in life. A real man or woman of God chooses to participate in the work of furthering the Kingdom of God. Jesus said, “Lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven” (Matt. 6:20), where gold is of so little value it is used to pave the streets.
🙏 Today's Prayer:
Father, help me to play the person of God well today by Your grace and power. Amen
