π Today's Word:
1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
1 Peter 4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
When we become Christians, God calls us to die to sin and turn to a life of Christ. In other words, as Jesus Christ suffered in the flesh and lived sinless, God calls us to do the same thing. Living sinless is not as easy as just saying it. We live in the flesh in a wicked world. And we all have things we struggle with, right? What I find encouraging is that Christ suffered tremendously while on this earth. While remaining perfectly sinless, he was mocked, humiliated, tempted, beaten, and ultimately murdered. Clearly, he experienced suffering in the highest degree. So while we are on the earth, God expects us to refrain from sin. We all know how difficult that can be, but God already knows that. Our free will allows us to choose to partake in sin or not to partake. We make the choice. But, in that moment when we choose to suffer and die to our human desires, God rejoices! I believe a choice not to sin brings God great pleasure. May you be encouraged to have an attitude that honor's Christ today.
π Today's Prayer:
Father, may my attitude be to follow you today and separate myself from the sin of this world. Amen

Our Hope is that you walk away with a Blessing!!
