Romans 6:16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Romans 6:16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?
I want to start off with, what is obedience? The dictionary defines it as, the act or practice of obeying; dutiful or submissive compliance. I have to laugh now and again when I hear people complaining. "I just don't understand why God doesn't answer my prayers." People expect obedience from God when they call upon him, but do they give him their obedience. Most don't think of obedience that way, but God does. He loves us dearly. So much so, he sent his son to die for our sins. The bible says we are either a slave to sin or a slave to the righteousness of God. We can't be both. So when it doesn't seem your prayers are answered, think about your obedience. Are you submissive to God or are you still trying to split your obedience.
