Sheep have universally been branded as stupid. Even pastors sometimes say that's why people are described as sheep in the bible. But truth is sheep are not stupid. The reason sheep are used in the bible to describe people is they are more like us than you think. Sheep are very independent, they get jealous of each other, they get emotional and love attention. They grieve for love ones and love to self medicate. But one of the best things is when trouble arises they get scared and don't know what to do. But once the shepherd gathers them, they calm down and peace comes over them. If you are discouraged with the world and the difficulties you face; if you feel like a sheep without a shepherd, Jesus wants to be your good Shepherd. Every day is better when you know “The Lord is my Shepherd.”
