So how would you describe inner peace? The scripture says refuge and shelter from the storm. One of the hardest things for people to have is peace during a storm. But have you ever watched birds during a storm. Where do they go? They don't go into a house for fear of the storm. They fly to trees and bushes but that doesn't seem like much shelter to me. Yet the scripture says, God knows when even one falls to the ground. Even during a storm you can hear them chirping and calling out to each other. They have a peace that their creator will protect them. Yet God's word says we are more valuable than the birds. So why don't we trust God to take care of us during the storms. Why don't we have peace no matter what we go through. You see, ultimate peace is not the absence of storms, but inner peace amidst storms. And man never finds lasting inner peace until he finds peace with God. When you find peace with God, you begin to experience peace within the storms.
